You don’t go into Commando: Steel Disaster and expect an original experience crafted by a well known developer. This is a shameless Metal Slug knock-off, even down the brutal and unapologetic difficulty. Being a clone also means you can partake in the best parts of the SNK series as well, a trade-off worth taking.

Surprising no one, the Metal Slug saga will continue into a seventh entry. Proving that there is some higher power, the game will retain its 2-D roots, and will grace the DS sometime this fall.
