When Blizzard revealed the three campaign sections of Starcraft II were being released seperately, it came out as, well, a bit cheap on their part. Now the word from Blizzard producer Chris Sigaty is these releases are going to take some time:

“With any luck, it would be like a year for each successive one, but that’s going to be a target date, that’s not a promise…”

A year? Seriously? Would’t it make more sense to put them out maybe two months apart from each other? You know, give players time to play through the campaign, get them excited, and then prey on their need for more? A year later, people will have long since moved onto to something else, and you run the risk of being incredibly outdated assuming they all use the same engine.
