Contrary to what Marc Whitten told the world months ago, Microsoft will be keeping all of its Live Arcade games on the service. Microsoft’s VP John Schappert stated that “the information about XBLA delisting had been taken out of context.” He goes onto to confirm that with the launch of the New Xbox Experience come November, the need for de-listing will be unnecessary.

The reason for Whitten’s staements in the first place? Microsoft simply “set parameters by which we can delist.” That’s all well and good, but the way Whitten put in the original statement, it sounded like a done deal:

“In addition to allowing these bigger and better games we will be delisting older underperforming titles in order to keep the service focused on a section of high quality games.”

“We will be delisting” doesn’t sound like you’re setting paramaters, but then again I was a vocal opponent of them not delisting anything in the first place. Well, maybe Yaris, but that’s it.
