The first details of Guitar Hero World Tour’s launch downloadable content were revealed by Activision yesterday. In what will be exclusive to the Xbox 360 for the first two weeks, a number of classic bands will be providing tracks.
The R.E.M. Track Pack, first announced at E3, will include “Horse to Water”, “Man-Sized Wreath” and “Supernatural Superserious” from their latest album Accelerate. A Classic Rock Track Pack will feature “Rock and Roll Band” by Boston, “Hot Blooded” by Foreigner and “Jessie’s Girl” by Rick Springfield. Finally, Blind Melon will contribute the track “No Rain” from their self-titled album.
One other important thing to mention here is that Activision will also be selling these tracks individually as well, taking a very good cue from the Rock Band model. They will also be putting up the Zakk Wylde and Ted Nugent Guitar Duels from the Career mode for free, similar to what they did last year for Guitar Hero III.
