While we’ve known for a while that the home version of Street Fighter IV was going to be slightly different, the version playable at the Tokyo Game Show spilled nearly all. Fei Long, Dan, Sakura, Sheng Long/Gouken, and final boss Seth are playable for the home release, scheduled for sometime before the end of fiscal year ‘08 in Japan. Producer Yoshinori Ono states that you shouldn’t be terribly excited about this edition of the game however, despite the new faces:
“Calling it ‘Street Fighter 4.5′ was probably going too far. We aren’t making any major balance changes, but we do plan to rework some points which were plainly unnatural in the arcade version. It’s more of a 4.1, you could say.”
Finally, a rumor of a Cammy appearance wasn’t dismissed after her appearance in a promotional anime:
Cammy’s appearance in the anime has touched off a lot of talk about how she’ll be the next new character, but we still haven’t decided on anything yet, so let’s call it TBA for now.”
