Even with Jack Thompson out of the picture (at least legally), it’s still probably not a great idea to release a AO rated title onto the market, especially since the system makers won’t allow it. That’s what Sega is trying to avoid, and if MTV Multiplayer is correct, they’re sending builds of MadWorld to the ESRB regularly. The black and white title does have one color: red. The blood is graphic and the violence pretty hardcore stuff.

You have to ask yourself though. If GTA IV, with its realistic character models, cop killing, and helicopter wrecking isn’t enough to generate the AO rating, can MadWorld even be in the same ballpark with its rather simple visual style?
