Worried about Resident Evil 5’s new save system? Well, fret no more. 1UP headed to Japan to discuss the game with producer Jun Takeuchi. Aside from a brief joke snippet about another EGM April Fools joke involving Akuma making an appearance, the best news comes in the form of typewriter saves no longer being a part of the game.
“Actually, I really like typewriters; they’re really typical of the Resident Evil series. But this time, the save system will be a combination of checkpoints and chapters.”
Jun, I didn’t like the typewriters. Having to quit a game because you were being pulled away only to realize you were out of ink that only managed to last one save was nothing short of ridiculous.
