Electronic Arts announced this morning that they have signed a three game development deal with Hollywood director/filmmaker Zack Synder. Most recently known for his work on 300, in addition to next year’s adaptation of Watchmen, he will lead the creative direction of the games alongside EA’s Los Angeles studio.

“I think video games are cool because they offer an opportunity to tell a story in an entirely unique way,” said Zack Snyder. “Being a long time fan of the games EA creates, I look forward to collaborating with them.”

EA will own the IPs, but will extend their relationship with Synder for possible movie versions of the games. The deal was brokered by Creative Artists Agency.
