The DRM on Will Wright’s Spore has led to extensive controversy, thousands of negative reviews on Amazon, and a user revolt. Now that revolt has taken the next step in the form of a lawsuit which claims EA does not disclose the SecuROM is on the game disc. This leads to the inability to uninstall it short of wiping the HDD, causing certain programs not to run, and various other problems. The extensive 36 page PDF goes into all of the details.

While many of the class action complaints lobbied at game companies are generally ridiculous, this one certainly has merit. Hopefully, the massively paid lawyers over at EA are forced to pay out for this one.
