Frank Castle’s preparing to enter the War Zone (of consoles) and he’s already chosen his side. This morning on the Official PlayStation Blog, Zen Studios announced that they’re at work on an all-new Punisher title for the PlayStation Network.

Dubbed The Punisher: No Mercy, the game is a PSN exclusive and is being built on Epic’s Unreal Engine 3. It’ll be played from a first-person perspective and will focus on arena-based multiplayer competition.

“Our main focus is to create an awesome online multiplayer experience with the style and grit from the Punisher’s world, complete with characters like Jigsaw, Bushwacker, Barracuda and even Silver Sable (been reading War Journal lately?…).”

Indeed, I have. So let’s hope that mean’s G.W. Bridge and Domino (a no-brainer for this game) are in, too.
