The Star Wars: The Force Unleashed demo did pretty well for itself when it released, and it appears the full game itself has followed suit. LucasArts announced this evening that the game has sold more than 1.5 million units worldwide, also making it the fastest selling Star Wars game and for the company.
“The record-setting sales of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed shows the undiminished power of Star Wars and its popularity across all media types, including video games,” said Darrell Rodriguez, president of LucasArts. “We’re blown away by the response to the game.”
In addition, the novelization of the game’s story is also showing pretty good performance as it was No.1 on the New York Times Best Sellers list the week it arrived.
