THQ is looking to tap a different market for their wrestling license. The WWE is going online in Korea (and other Asian countries eventually) MMO style. As the GameSpot article states, the game “will allow players to create a wrestler and take them through a career in single-player or multi-player matches with the goal of enshrinement in the WWE Hall of Fame.” Sounds straightforward in typical career style for WWE fans from the localized Smackdown vs. RAW titles.
The game will use microtransactions as a business model, with a release date of 2010. No word on a release for any other part of the world, though with the popularity of the sport across the country, it seems like a no-brainer.
