Though no actual numbers were provided and you’ll have to trust corporate Microsoft’s word, Xbox 360 sales have doubled since the previous weekend. Certain models of the hardware (unspecified) have increased six times their sales rates. Actual figures for September will come later down the road (mid-November) from NPD, but if this keeps up as Microsoft is claiming and we have a continued Wii shortage, the 360 just might beat the Nintendo juggernaut. At $50 less, at least for the Arcade bundle, it certainly has the numbers in its favor.
