Remember back when Microsoft paid Rockstar $50 million for the exclusive rights to Grand Theft Auto IV’s downloadable content (which we’re still waiting for)? Well, Sony has borrowed that idea for the upcoming EA release Mirrors Edge. Unfortunately, no numbers were divulged, but one can assume it was a whole lot less than $50 million given the lack of mainstream coverage the game will receive compared to Rockstar’s juggernaut. No thoughts on what exactly the content will be either, or when it will be available (it would be funny if it came out before GTA’s DLC).
This clears up a misunderstanding that the game would have a small exclusive window on the PS3. As it turns out, it was only the DLC. The game will launch simultaneously on the PC, 360, and PS3 on the same day.
