Denis Dyack, president of Silicon Knights, sat down with Joystiq to address a number of complaints with theĀ  companies recent Too Human. The game has been slammed by many media outlets (including this one) for a number of obviously fixable flaws. Joystiq asks the tough questions, including why an inane 15 second death animation is necessary every time you die, and the player reaction to it:

“If it’s a sign that people love the game so much that they just want to get back in and play, could we make it skippable? Sure.”

No, they don’t want to get back in and play it Denis. They want a reasonable death system that doesn’t waste valuable time going through a cinematic that’s more repetitive than the game itself. Dyack also states that if you’re becoming annoyed with it, then you’re “dying too much.” Yes, as matter of fact, that’s the case, mostly because the game design is horribly flawed the the point of being broken.
