Electronic Arts interest in acquiring Take-Two has been in the public eye almost since day one back in April, but now the action will be moving behind closed doors. According to recent article o Reuters, the two companies have signed a confidentiality agreement to continue with private talks about the possible deal.
“As a result, EA does not intend to make any further announcements regarding the status of any discussions or negotiations with Take-Two unless and until discussions between EA and Take-Two have been terminated or such parties have entered into a transaction,” EA said in a regulatory filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
Just last week, EA let their most recent offer to acquire Take-Two expire. Shortly afterwards, U.S. antitrust regulators gave their approval for the two to merge if they reached a deal.
