EA had a bit of a problem. Cover boy and (lately) media hog Brett Favre is on the cover of Madden 09. Favre decided Green Bay wasn’t suited for him anymore. With millions of copies already shipping to stores with Favre in the wrong jersey, what’s a corporation to do? Let you fix the cover yourself!
EA has made new cover art for PS3, Xbox 360, PSP, and PS2 Madden ‘09 owners. Those millions of DS owners out there? Sorry, no love for you. Wii owners? Ha! The three people still holding out for the Xbox 1 version? Nope, no love for your either. Oh, and PC owners? You don’t even get a game.
Wal-Mart and Sams Club shoppers can let the company print one off when they buy it, or you can come home and use overpriced printer ink and do it yourself.
