In the face of Gears of War 2, Fallout 3, and Killzone, it’s surprising something little (pun intended) could come out on top. The Game Critics Award, as selected by five of the top journalists working in the industry, gave the upcoming PSN release LittleBigPlanet the most nominations with five. Gears of War 2 and zombie co-op shooter Left 4 Dead tied up in second place with four apiece.
Oddly enough, Sony’s hyped visual masterpiece KIillzone 2 didn’t get nominated for anything, not even in the action category.
