Sony loves to update stuff. With 2.40, PS3 owners gained the ability to message other users through the in-game XMB, in addition to a variety of other options. 2.41 fixed that update which had the slight tendency to screw up everything. Now owners can thrill to the latest update, 2.42 which offers, well, pretty much nothing. It does offer “improved playback quality of some PLAYSTATION 3 and PlayStation format software.”
In the end, that is something, if hardly valuable to anyone at all. Shouldn’t PlayStation 3 sofotware have perfect playback on the PS3 already?
