Microsoft revealed more details on their XNA Creators Club plans today at their 2008 Gamefest Technology Conference in Seattle. Aiming to give amateur game makers the chance to profit off of their titles as quick as possible, they announced the new “Xbox Live Community Games” program, something in which they are saying will allow Creators Club members to “create, sell and share in the profits generated by their unique creations”.

“Not only are we democratizing game development with Xbox LIVE Community Games later this year, but we’re creating an opportunity for aspiring developers to start their careers on the world stage,” Satchell said. “It is really a win for both developers and consumers because this will no doubt act as an incentive for game creators to continue to develop the best, most innovative games for Xbox 360.”

Here’s how it’ll work more specifically: After being submitted, the game will go through a peer review system before being added to the Xbox Live Marketplace via a new Community Games section in this fall’s update. They’ll also be able to set the price of the game (from 200 to 800 Microsoft Points), and will receive “up to” 70 percent of the total revenue generated by the game.
