Electronic Arts CEO John Riccitiello confirmed today the development of a new MMO game centered around Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic during a recent interview with Conde Nast’s Portfolio.com.
During the conversation, Riccitiello mentioned the company’s one announced MMO project and confirmed the company’s partnership LucasArts via BioWare, saying “I think, quite possibly the most anticipated game, full stop, for the industry at the point when we get closer to telling you about it.” When pressed about it being the KOTR MMO, he responded with a simple “yes”.
Aside from that, there’s not much to tell but that at least clears up the speculation on this. Rest assured, a lot of Star Wars fans are quite happy right now.
