Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me three times, you’re getting good. Fool me four times….well, you get the point. Sonic fans have been going through that type of situation for the last few years now, but things look to turn the tide. BioWare’s hard at work on Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood, and Sonic Team appears to have taken the critcisms of their 2006 Sonic title to heart for their new title Sonic Unleashed.
In a new trailer for the game (shown above), more of the gameplay is shown off as well as Sonic’s new “were-hog” form, which looks like it will be more hack-n-slash than platformer. This is something I hope Sega’s treading about carefully, as it’s clear from watching this that they are going back to the series’ roots a bit more, too. Let’s hope they nail that balance.
