Heather Trujillo, the 17 year old girl who admittedly helped her boyfriend in the killing of her seven year old half sister, was sentenced to 18 years in prison earlier today according to a report by KMGH Denver.
And while she was sentenced, there’s a good chance she won’t actually spend any time in jail. If she completes a successful six year’s in the state’s youthful offender program and doesn’t violate the terms of her plea deal, she won’t have to serve her prison sentence.
Trujillo and her boyfriend, 17 year old Lamar Roberts, were both charged as adults in the murder, in which Trujillo said was an imitation of moves seen in Midway’s Mortal Kombat games.
