Guitar Hero III is getting ready to fly into the danger zone, as Activision announced this morning that the Grammy award-winning theme to Top Gun is headed to the game’s song list as a free downloadable track.
“The instrumental, guitar-heavy theme was immortalized in the hit film that inspired a generation of young men to awkwardly serenade women at bars, perform perfectly-timed “flipside” high fives and threaten to “buzz the tower.” - Activision PR
The song will be free to users of both the Xbox Live Marketplace and PlayStation Store, and will be available the day before Independence Day on July 3.
