EA Sports is taking a different direction on the Wii, aiming to draw the casual audience into the lucrative yearly sports titles. Madden, Tiger Woods, NBA Live, FIFA, and NCAA Football, are receiving this make over.
The usual terrifying words to die-hard gamers are included in the press release, including mini-games, inviting to all players, and unique controls. Also, note this wonderful little piece of information taken directly from the announcement:
“NCAA Football 09 All-Play features nearly 200 schools, making it the most authentic college sports gaming experience available for the Wii.”
Anyone else care to point out that it’s the only college football title on the Wii? That said, there are some positive notes, including online play in Tiger Woods. Just maybe there’s some hope for these releases to provide a different simple experience that’s a break from the traditional simulation style games. Maybe.
