Sports gamers across the country can officially start planning their excuses during the preseason, as EA Sports announced today that Madden NFL 09 has completed production and gone gold.
Last night in New York City, EA Sports and Sony hosted a VIP premiere event for the game’s release, with former cover athletes Eddie George, Daunte Culpepper, Ray Lewis, Shaun Alexander, and Vince Young all attending.
Madden NFL 09 will release on August 12 for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation 2, Xbox, Nintendo DS, Sony PSP, and the Nintendo Wii. The PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions, for the first time in the history of the franchise, will have online leagues complete with flex scheduling for fast season play.
