Neil Young has left his post as Vice President/General Manager at EA Los Angeles to form his own company, according to the Level Up Blog.

Most recently, Young was responsible for the excellent Boom Blox, The Sims 2, and Medal of Honor:Airborne. There is no news at this point on what his new company will be called or what projects he’ll be working on. Young began his career with Virgin Interactive until 1996, the year he came to EA.

Westwood Studios co-founder Louis Castle will be taking over Young’s role at EA LA as well as his projects, which include the second Steven Spielberg game LMNO.
