If your Wii is glowing, that’s a signal that the latest update is available… the one that will kill the ability to use Datel’s Freeloader. Version 3.3 of the firmware also clamps down on an exploit from creative hackers who used Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess to run their own software. The license states prior to download:

“Beacuse unauthorized modifications to save files may impair game play or the Wii Console” the update will now “check for and automatically remove such save files.”

As for what the update does for users using the Wii legitimately, the only change is to the Mii’s, allowing them to be moved from the plaza to the parade. Yay.
