The estate of Godfather creator Mario Puzo has filed a lawsuit againts Paramount Pictures over revenues for the 2006 video game adaptation of the franchise, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Currently being represented by Puzo’s son Mario, the estate is claiming that Paramount breached a contract made in 1992, which gave Paramount the licensing rights for any “audio-visual elements that embody the “Godfather” saga or releated works.” EA’s game falls under that agreement according the younger Puzo, but Paramount “failed or refused to pay” the estate.

“Despite the vast wealth Puzo created for Paramount, it has refused to pay his children their agreed share of the revenue from that audio-visual product,” the lawsuit states.

Electronic Arts, publisher of the game, is not a part of the suit.
