2K Sports announced tonight during the NBA Finals pre-game show that Kevin Garnett of the Boston Celtics will be the cover athlete for NBA 2K9.
Having one of the best years of his career, Garnett is widely regarded as one of the best all-around players in the NBA. He’s also won quite a few awards this year, such as making the All-NBA First Team, All-NBA Defensive Team, and being named this year’s Defensive Player of the Year.
Of all those, he also has a chance to win an NBA title, something that has alluded him his entire career. His Celtics play the Los Angeles Lakers in a seven game series tonight for the NBA title.
