One internet video game show that I’ve recently made it a habit to check out weekly is Players Only with Scott Steinberg. The show, which has covered everything from casual gaming to MMOs up to this point, usually talks to a ton of people in the industry (press included) and is remarkably thorough for the 10 minutes each episode has.
In this week’s edition, the console race between the Xbox 360, PlayStation, and Wii is the focal point, with a bit of “is PC gaming dead?” and “one console future” talk to boot:
“the latest installment in the 10-episode PC and video game series takes a closer look at how the battle for your living room is shaping up, and who’ll come out ahead in 2008 and beyond. Also explored are where the video game market is headed, chances we’ll ever see a one-console future and the current state of PC gaming, including whether or not, as some critics have claimed, it’s really dead…”
