There is more South Park in high-definition coming around the corner, as Comedy Central confirmed with us this afternoon that the feature-length director’s cut version of South Park’s Imaginationland will be arriving on the Xbox Live Marketplace on Monday, June 2.
This will be the second high-definition episode of South Park to hit Xbox Live, with 2004’s “Good Times With Weapons” being the first. If you happen to have DirecTV, you’ll also be able to catch the entire trilogy on their “The 101 Network” channel tonight at midnight.
Episode Synopsis:
The doors of a whole new dimension are thrown open and the boys of South Park walk right in. It all begins with Cartman’s quest to find a leprechaun and win a bet with Kyle. The kids have just arrived in Imaginationland, a wondrous, magical place, when terrorist’s attack, unleashing all of mankind’s evil imaginary forces upon the world. With imaginations running wild, the government steps in and prepares to nuke Imaginationland thus eliminating further attacks on the country’s most vulnerable spot. A crisis faces the nation and Stan and Butters remained trapped in Imaginationland. Kyle pleads with the Pentagon for his friends’ lives and Cartman goes all the way to the Supreme Court to force Kyle to make good on their bet.
The HD Rental version of the film will cost 480 Microsoft Points ($6), while the SD version will cost 320 Microsoft Points ($4).
