Visual Concepts will now be in control of the MLB 2K and NHL 2K brand of games for 2K Sports, according to a news story posted on 1UP.com. They take over development duties from the now defunct Kush Games.

Ben Brinkman, former developer of the MLB 2K series, has switched jobs and moved to Activision.

The company has routinely dominated EA Sports in the basketball genre, while both the MLB and NHL franchises have been on a recent downhill slope.
