Music video games have recently become big business thanks to the success of titles like Guitar Hero and Rock Band, and today it was validated even more as the formation of a new music-based game company, Music Video Games (MvG), was unveiled.

Founded by Realtime Associates, Inc. president David Warhol and former TDK Mediactive CEO Vincent Bitetti, the new El Segundo, California based company will also have some key individuals backing it up. Serving as advisors to MvG will be Mark Goldstein, former Senior VP of Business and Legal Affairs at Warner Bros. Records, and Tim Walsh, former Senior VP of International Publishing for THQ, and current corporate officer for the company.

Warhol and Bitetti will serve as CEO and CCO, respectively.

“MvG has been created with the goal of bringing fun and easily accessible music games to an audience that has largely remained unnoticed to this point,” said Vincent Bitetti, CEO of MvG. “The music video game market and the online casual games market both continue to grow exponentially. MvG will provide games that will appeal to both demographics.”
