Following in the path of its predecessor and not the party game spin-off, Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise is going to be adding in some additions to widen its appeal. Xbox Live Vision Camera support and co-op play are the biggest additions. Co-op allows two players to work together creating gardens to capture a variety of new Pinata species, in addition to the ones players are already familiar with.

As for the camera support, the press release only includes this cryptic line:

“…instantly introduce new piñata species to their garden through an innovative new feature utilizing the Xbox LIVE Vision Camera.”

Other sites have revealed the game will utilize cards similar to Eye of Judgement on the PlayStation 3 to unlock new creatures or to send pictures of your critters via e-mail or post them online.

The game is due for a September release.
